SUMMARY
The AGM will work closely with the COO to oversee overall dealership operations. The AGM
assumes responsibility and is accountable for customer retention and the profitability of each
department in the Dealership on behalf of the Dealer/COO—Fulfills responsibility through sound
business leadership and management practices. Plans, motivates, and coordinates the activities of
the Leadership Team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
 Provides enthusiastic leadership to help shape coworkers' attitudes and build morale and a
cohesive team and work environment. Explains the Why and its importance to operation
success.
 Oversees Fixed Operations and works with the COO to oversee the Sales Department.
AGM will oversee the daily operations of all departments and will provide (as necessary)
any financial recommendations and process changes to the COO. The COO and Dealer
will be responsible for making the final decision when it comes to vehicle purchases,
equipment, software integration, access changes, and any other financial or operational
changes.
 Works with the COO to Recruit, hire, train, and motivate all dealership managers/leaders.
Explains the importance of each department's throughput and how it builds operation
success and retention. The COO and Dealer will make the final decision regarding any
hiring for the departments.
 Works with the COO to Direct and monitor all company leadership. Regularly evaluates the
performance of all department heads and supervisory personnel. Ensures that all leaders also
complete yearly assessments promptly.
 Keeps abreast of all FTC, OSHA, State, and Federal regulations to ensure all operations
comply and reduce the dealership's liability. Works with the Chief Information Security
Officer [CISO] to develop and streamline processes for the dealership that comply with the
various state and federal regulations.
 Works with the COO to meet with leaders individually to develop monthly goals and
objectives and review performance. Assists leaders in developing Action Plans to achieve
goals and objectives.
 Holds weekly scheduled leadership meetings to ensure every department operates effectively,
efficiently, profitably, and with synergy. Review KPI metrics such as CIT, Title listing, Cash

reports, obsolete parts, Tech production, WIP, and any factory-required KPI.
 Monitors daily operating reports and recommends improved courses of action where necessary.
Complete and submit daily DOC reports and recommended plans of action.
 Works with the COO and Director of Finance (DOF), on a monthly basis, to review financial
statements and identify key areas for improvement and areas for concern.
 Develops and maintains a good working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturing
personnel.
 Communicates company policies and processes to all coworkers and ensures they are understood
and followed. AGM will work with the COO, CISO, and HR department to ensure that they are
aware of all updates to policies and process changes.
 Resolves any customer complaints that line management has been unable to resolve. Develop,
implement, and monitor all dealership processes.
 Meets and/or exceeds Manufacturers' "Market Sales Requirement" in the dealership's primary
market area. (however, it does not jeopardize the operation goals when trying to achieve
manufacturer-stated requirements)
 Develops and coordinates plans to ensure all dealership personnel meet and/or exceed
training requirements.
 Coordinates with the business office to ensure accurate and timely department documentation
and reports.
 Compensates for any Manager's deficiencies that may lead to the department not attaining
their goals.
 Reviews all expenses for the dealership and ensures expenses are proper and justified.
 Develops and maintains good communication and relations with coworkers.
 Ensures that the dealership meets its new and used vehicle sales objective daily, monthly, and
yearly. Ensure that retail, commercial, and wholesale units sold produce a sufficient gross
profit to help the dealership reach its profit objective.
 Works closely with Internet Marketing Manager [IMM] to keep abreast of new marketing
programs and new technology that assist with vehicle sales and monitor ROI to ensure
efficient marketing spend.

 Ensures workplan implementation of the utilization of our CRM to leverage the activities of
our sales force to improve customer relations management.

 Works with COO to recruit, train, and build Leadership teams to ensure consistent operation
growth.
 Works with the COO and Sales leadership to plan and balance new and used vehicle
inventory that effectively stains sales goals.
 Works with the COO to Determine the monthly forecast regarding unit sales, gross profit
objectives, and department profit.
 Develops consistent and effective acquisition strategy for used vehicles.
 Ensures proper daily operation and throughput. Supports to all leaders and departments' shortcomings
due to PTO/LOA. The Assistant GM must have the ability to fill in or supervise the department when
department leaders are out of the office.
 Attends and participate in daily sales training to ensure the Sales team understands the importance of
overall dealership operations.
 Meets with all departments and leaders monthly to review the health of dealership operations so team
members are aware and brought in with their contribution to operation successes.
 Works with the CISO, COO, and Dealer in reviewing current programs, software, and processes and
ensuring that all departments are following Company policies and procedures. Will assist the CISO in
reviewing all 3 rd party vendors for compliance on an annual basis.
 Ensures all dealership employees complete and remain current with all mandatory safety compliance,
security, and safeguard training.
 Works with all departments to obtain a minimum of 65% fixed absorption to ensure dealership
probability.
 Works closely with the Sales and Service Leadership to ensure all qualified vehicles in tiers 1 and 2
have a 70% sales-to-service handoff to grow future fixed operations.
 Reviews all use vehicle recon to meet the expected 48-hour picture on the website and recon time of 5
days to maximize profit and quick vehicle turn time. AGM must review all recon recommendations
by the service department.
 Work closely with the sales and service leadership to ensure proper turn times for all new vehicles
and consumer readiness with time-to-line and quick turn times.
 Complies, reviews, and submits weekly reports for Dealer Principal, DOF, and COO review.
 Responsible for serving as an Authorized Official for the Employee Safeguard & Security Policy
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

 Assists in planning with the COO and implements action plans to increase unit sales and
revenues in all departments.
 Assists the COO in establishing standards and protocols for displaying, merchandising and
maintaining new and used vehicles.
 Assists in developing and implementing sales management, marketing, and merchandising
activities (especially sales events) for the vehicles sales department.

 Works with Sales leadership and COO to develop and implement a sales/training process for
sales reps to ensure efficient, customer-focused, profit-generating, and building retention.
 Assists office personnel in resolving documentation problems arising from vehicle sales.
 Ensures that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean.
 Ensures all Safety platform tickets are submitted and resolved in a timely manner.
 Ensures all Facilities repairs have been submitted and resolved in a timely manner.
 Ensures all Vendor Requests are accompanied by at least two vendor quotes.
 Additional duties assigned by the COO or President.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

● Several years of automotive industry experience (with proper management or salesperson roles
preferred).
● Strong leadership and communication skills
● Proficient in CRM software.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, and sales and leadership
experience in the automotive industry is preferred.

● Proficient with Email & Communication
● Proficient in automotive shop management software.
● Proficient with DMS System(s)
● Proficiency in Dealership CRM System
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

memorandums. Ability to write simple correspondence.
● An ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to
management, customers, clients and employees of the organization.
● Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
● Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals.
● Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
● Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,
proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
● Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

● Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,
oral, or diagram form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
 Must be able to obtain a Notary within 6 months of hire date.
 Manufacturer [OEM] Training
 Driving is essential to this position, must have and maintain a current valid driver’s license and a
clean driving abstract.

 Travel between IKC and other Dealership locations may require longer hours.
 Dealership Events and Sales Events may require longer hours.
 Dealership Inventory events may require longer hours.

Salary : $96,000 - $156,000
