1. Job Overview
We are seeking dependable and professional drivers to provide Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services for individuals enrolled with the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Drivers transport members to and from medical appointments, day programs, employment sites, and other authorized locations using their personal vehicle.
This position requires strict adherence to DDD, AHCCCS, and company compliance standards, along with a commitment to safety, punctuality, confidentiality, and respectful service.
2. Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely transport members to authorized destinations
- Provide door-to-door or curb-to-curb assistance as required
- Adhere to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times
- Maintain professional communication with members, guardians, and dispatch
- Accurately complete trip documentation and required logs
- Immediately report delays, cancellations, incidents, or concerns
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards
- Keep vehicle clean, safe, insured, and in compliance at all times
- Follow all company policies and DDD transportation requirements

4. Minimum Driver Requirements
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License
- Minimum age: 21
- Current Fingerprint Clearance Card (required)
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass background checks (required)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to comply with reporting, training, and documentation requirements
5. Vehicle Requirements
- Personal vehicle (sedan, SUV, or van depending on assignment)
- Current vehicle registration
- Proof of personal auto insurance meeting state and contract minimums
- Clean interior and exterior
- Working seat belts for all passengers
- Functional air conditioning and heating
- No visible safety hazards
- Vehicle inspection approval when required
6. Employment Classification Options
Independent Contractor (1099)
