Irrigation Tech

The Landscape Irrigation Technician is critically important to our growth and success. As a Landscape Irrigation Technician, you will complete a variety of tasks including start-ups, troubleshooting, repairs, working with timers, and winterizations among other irrigation duties. The irrigation technician will also communicate with customers regarding their systems, so great customer service skills are also required. The right candidate will also help develop processes for the irrigation department that are needed to grow and be successful. This position will be a potential lead into a management position for the right candidate with the right drive and reliability.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Perform system start-ups, evaluation and winterization when necessary.
• Educate Clients about System Enhancements and Conservation.
• Perform irrigation maintenance, service work, estimates, and some installation as assigned.
• Correctly document all labor time, component inventory and equipment used on all work orders for proper billing.
• Represent Komplete Landscape Contractors in a professional manner at all times and effectively communicate with our customer base.
• Obtain back-flow tests for contracted systems.
• Keep vehicle and equipment clean and organized and safe. Tool counts must be accurate each month.
• Ensure work is being conducted safely for the employees, the customers, the public and our environment.
• Must uphold company policies, procedures, and company core values at all times.
• This can be a year round position. Because of the seasonality of this business you could be expected to manage snow crews. and/or drive a snow plow in the winter.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• YOU MUST HAVE 2 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH COMMERCIAL AND/OR RESIDENTIAL IRRIGATION SYSTEMS TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.
• Back-flow testing license preferred, but not required at hire. Will be required to obtain within a year of starting at Komplete.
• Design and/or Install experience a plus
• Support and Training for Industry Certifications

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to be mobile, sit, stand, walk, kneel, crawl, climb, crouch, stoop, twist, turn, balance, walk, and drive or ride in a motor vehicle. The employee is frequently required to use their hands and fingers to handle, feel, reach, grasp, pinch, push and pull up to 25 lbs. with hands and arms, on occasions it may be necessary to carry up to 50 lbs.
