The Welder ensures that the ASME pressure vessels exceed all applicable quality standards for the Komline-Sanderson products. The Welding Fitter will use MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques to work with steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel components. According to precise blueprint specifications and welding procedure specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
- Set up welding machines based on project or using a Welding Procedure Specification
- Use MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques to work on steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings
- Complete work safely while meeting quality standards
- Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications
- Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators
- Assemble items as instructed by a supervisor
- Keep work areas clean and organized while taking care of all equipment and facilities
Qualifications
- Vocational, technical or high school education
- 2 years of experience with MIG, TIG and/or Sub Arc welding
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Ability to work without supervision and within a larger team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
