We are looking for a skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to our team while also actively participating in hands-on work. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a leadership position and contribute directly to the shop's operations. You will oversee daily workflow, ensure quality standards are met, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate shop personnel, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met
- Perform repairs, fabrication, assembly, or other technical tasks as needed
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and work with the Director of Operations to schedule overtime and general work schedules
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure parts and assemblies meet company and industry standards
- Work with cross functional teams to ensure materials are prepared and tools/machinery are in good working condition
- Troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure proper use of tools and equipment
- Provide guidance and mentorship to shop employees, assisting with skill development
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor, Lead Technician, or similar hands-on leadership role
- Strong technical skills in machinery assembly and fabrication
- Experience working with high-speed rotating equipment a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 lbs with or without assistance and work in a physically demanding environment
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Proficiency in using shop tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to utilize various computer software systems, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems such as Microsoft D365
