PRIMARY FUNCTION
Maintains the plant in a clean and orderly condition, empties trash cans, cleans equipment, moves material, sweeps and performs other inter-departmental functions (painting, sandblasting, steam cleaning).
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Hoist, crane, fork truck , steam cleaner, sandblaster, paint booth, grinder, parts washer, tape, vehicle, band saw, etc.
SAMPLE WORK PROCEDURE
- Maintains plant in a clean and orderly condition by sweeping floors and emptying trash containers.
- Daily operates fork truck and hoists to move material.
- Operates steam cleaner to clean parts and equipment.
- Operates parts washer to clean parts and equipment.
- Operates sandblaster to remove undesired surface finishes.
- Operates paint booth
- Operates band saw
- Changes out tanks for fork trucks
- Drives pick-up truck or car for local pick-up of miscellaneous supplies.
- Must obey all safety rules associated with the equipment operated.
- Performs other labor functions as directed.
