Director of Marketing
Komar, a global consumer products company specializing in the design, marketing, sourcing, and distribution of sleepwear, loungewear, layering, and intimates, is seeking an experienced Marketing Director. This role operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We are looking for a creative, strategic, and data-driven Marketing Director to take our brand to the next level. We need a true player-coach who can define our overall brand positioning, develop high-impact marketing strategies, and personally execute campaigns across social media, email, out-of-home, and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Branding: Define the brand’s unique voice, values, and visual language to ensure consistency across all touchpoints (website, socials, packaging).
- Campaign Development: Plan and execute seasonal collection launches, influencer collaborations, and promotional campaigns that drive engagement and sales.
- Digital Marketing Ownership: Manage all digital channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and email marketing (CRM) to increase followers, engagement, and conversion rates.
- Performance Marketing (ROI): Oversee paid media budgets (FB/IG Ads, Google Ads) to optimize spend and maximize Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
- Content Creation & Social Media: Direct the creation of photo/video content for social media, ensuring it aligns with the brand aesthetic and current trends.
- Affiliate Marketing: Build and manage an affiliate marketing program to drive incremental revenue through strategic partnerships and performance-based collaborations.
- Photoshoot Planning & Execution: Lead end-to-end seasonal photoshoots—from creative concepting and styling to coordinating talent and delivering high-performing content assets for campaigns and social media.
- Retail Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with mid-tier and big box retail partners to develop and execute annual marketing plans, supporting key initiatives, product launches, and in-store or digital retailer programs.
- Omnichannel Brand Growth (DTC, Amazon & Retail): Partner with the Amazon team and wholesale accounts to balance brand-building efforts across owned DTC channels, Amazon marketplace growth, and retailer business strategies.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, industry trends, and consumer feedback to adjust strategies in real-time.
- E-commerce Optimization: Collaborate with the website/production team to improve product descriptions, visual merchandising, and user experience to boost conversion rates.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a small, in-house marketing team (and/or manage freelance creatives).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the fashion, apparel, or e-commerce industries.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading a marketing team or driving strategy in a startup/small-business environment.
- Digital Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Shopify, and social media platforms.
- Creativity & Vision: Strong creative eye for aesthetics, photography, and brand storytelling.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to translate data and KPIs into actionable marketing strategies.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with influencer marketing, PR activations, or pop-up events.
Salary : $143,000 - $173,000
