Mind/Body Studio Attendant

Position Summary

The Mind and Body Studio Attendant supports the daily operations of the Mind and Body Studio by maintaining cleanliness, assisting instructors, greeting members, setting up equipment, and helping ensure a safe and welcoming environment. This role is essential in enhancing the overall member experience and supporting YMCA wellness initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

a. Promote program and membership enrollment in interactions with existing and potential members.

b. Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.

c. Follow emergency procedures and safety precautions. Follow procedures for reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards.

d. Accept additional assignments and all other YMCA duties assigned outside of job description.

e. Greet all members and guests warmly upon entering the Mind and Body Studio.

f. Prepare and organize the studio for classes (e.g., setting up mats, props, music, lighting).

g. Maintain cleanliness of the studio space before, between, and after classes.

h. Wipe down and disinfect equipment, mats, and shared surfaces regularly.

i. Restock supplies such as yoga blocks, towels, weights, and cleaning products as needed.

j. Monitor member needs and assist with any basic questions or concerns.

k. Support instructors during class setup or breakdown as requested.

l. Ensure safety protocols are followed within the studio (e.g., spacing, footwear rules, etc.).

m. Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the Health and Wellness Director.

n. Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere aligned with YMCA values.

Qualifications

1. At least 18 years of age.

2. High School diploma or equivalent.

3. Friendly and professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.

4. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

5. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 30 days of
hire date.

6. Praesidium Bloodborne Pathogens training and Praesidium Child Abuse Prevention trainings completed upon hire.

8. Prior YMCA or supervisory experience preferred

9. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

10. Performs all additional duties as assigned.
