Opportunity
As the Director-Global Payroll, this role is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll operations across the enterprise. The Director-Global Payroll will lead a team of payroll professionals to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees in multiple countries while maintaining compliance with local regulations and company policies.
This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of payroll processes and systems.
Specific Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global payroll strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Manage the global implementation of Workday Payroll and consolidate timekeeping systems to improve data accuracy and reporting.
- Provide direct and indirect leadership to a global payroll team, including regional managers, local payroll staff, and external vendor partners.
- Global payroll operation oversight across 30 countries, supporting a workforce of over 30,000 associates.
- Directing the processing of payroll for employees in multiple countries, including data collection, validation, calculation, and distribution of payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of payroll data to internal stakeholders, finance, and external authorities as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, finance, legal, and IT, to streamline payroll processes, optimize systems, and resolve issues.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws, regulations, and best practices globally, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
- Manage relationships with external payroll vendors, ensuring service levels are met and contracts are adhered to.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance the payroll experience for employees.
- Prepare and manage the payroll budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Act as a subject matter expert on payroll matters, providing guidance and support to stakeholders across the organization.
