Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend pairings, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms, and issuing receipts
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed during busy periods or special events such as nightclub nights or private functions
- Collaborate effectively with team members including hosts/hostesses, kitchen staff, bartenders, and management to deliver seamless service
- Uphold all sanitation regulations related to food handling, food safety, and overall restaurant cleanliness
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while respecting guest preferences
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures in food handling and serving
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and bill splitting tasks
- Previous experience in hospitality settings such as restaurants or nightclubs preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Strong communication skills with a team-oriented attitude

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
