Koenig is currently searching for a qualified Equipment Delivery Driver supporting our Team and Customers based out of the Dealership's Richmond, IN location.
Role Expectations / Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize safety in all tasks, following a "Safety First" approach at all times.
- Deliver products and equipment in a timely manner, meeting or exceeding scheduled delivery windows.
- Operate delivery vehicles including flatbed rollback trucks and trucks with trailer attachments.
- Safely load, unload, secure, and organize equipment to prevent damage during transport.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to verify safety and readiness.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained delivery vehicle and associated equipment (including trailers).
- Operate equipment such as mowers, tractors (up to 100 HP), and forklifts as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service: engage courteously, resolve issues, communicate updates or concerns, and create positive experiences.
- Accurately document deliveries, record any issues, and complete required paperwork.
- Perform general maintenance duties, including basic grounds work, facility upkeep, and other tasks as assigned by management.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations (where applicable), and company safety policies.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Valid driver's license required; Class A CDL preferred.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass DMV background check.
- Proven ability to safely load, unload, secure, and transport equipment.
- Forklift operation experience/certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment operation and minor maintenance.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional, friendly, and courteous demeanor.
- Basic computer skill sets.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines and manage routes efficiently.
- Comfortable navigating using GPS systems, maps, and local knowledge.
- Successful completion of all required company training programs.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and handle physically demanding tasks
