Part-time Bookkeeper
Koehler Books is a Virginia Beach-based book publisher with a staff of 13 remote workers. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who would enjoy working remotely to support our small but growing team.
The job starts at 20 hours/week with the potential to grow into a full-time salaried position.
This is a remote, work-from-home position.
Primary responsibilities:
- Manage book orders, sending invoices, placing orders, logging wholesale orders
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Process bi-monthly payroll
- Calculate monthly staff commissions
- Prepare monthly financial P&L reports
- Download monthly sales reports from Ingram, KDP, and OverDrive to upload to our royalty software
- Assist with quarterly royalty reports and payments
- Manage tax compliance, send W2s and 1099s
Core competencies:
- Bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
- Positive, team-player attitude
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience updating websites (Wordpress)
- Experience in the publishing industry or with IngramSpark
- Experience in customer service
Pay: Starting at $22/hour
