Project Superintendents/Foremen work with Project Managers in the planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring of construction activities on our projects. We are looking for a competent Civil Construction Superintendent/Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. You will be the point of reference of workers, supervisors, project owners and agencies. You will be a key person for the completion of a project.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
• Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities
• Supervise and train workers
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
• Supervise subcontractors
• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
• Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
• Resolve problems when they arise
• Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.
• This position requires an extensive background in excavation, grading, pipe work, road and highway reconstruction, airfield experience and full knowledge of traffic control.
• Applicant must assume a leadership role in managing all daily construction site operations.
• Must be able to read and understand plans, specifications, and efficiently schedule work.
• We are looking for applicants with a minimum of five years of experience.
• Proven experience as construction foreman (5yrs. Experience required)
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures and equipment
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and report effectively
• Must have experience in managing crew workers (2-15 personnel)
• Aptitude in math
• Problem-solving abilities
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade
