Mechanical Construction Sales Engineer
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Base Salary: $115,000–$135,000 per year
Commission: Opportunities based on awarded project sales

We are seeking an experienced Project Sales Engineer to help grow a commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical construction business throughout the Greater Cincinnati market.
This is a customer-facing position for a mechanically knowledgeable professional who can build relationships, understand customer challenges, develop practical HVAC and mechanical solutions, prepare proposals, and turn opportunities into awarded projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop new commercial and industrial business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing customers
- Meet with owners, contractors, engineers, and facility leaders to identify project needs and opportunities
- Evaluate facilities, operational challenges, budgets, and project requirements
- Develop HVAC and mechanical construction solutions aligned with customer goals
- Prepare estimates, pricing, proposals, and customer presentations
- Manage sales opportunities from initial conversations through negotiation and contract award
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, estimating, and field teams to develop competitive solutions
- Support successful project transitions from sales into execution
- Build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in HVAC, mechanical construction, estimating, project development, project sales, or a related technical field
- Experience selling commercial or industrial HVAC and mechanical construction projects preferred
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical construction practices
- Knowledge of construction estimating and project pricing
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent industry experience will be considered
