Traveling Industrial Piping Foreman
Location: Nashville, TN
Primary Function:
Supervise and coordinate on-site industrial piping construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards. Must have experience leading crews of 15 on projects valued at $2M .
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct daily industrial piping operations on-site, ensuring workflow efficiency and adherence to project plans.
- Supervise and coordinate crew members, lead men, and subcontractors, ensuring productivity and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Enforce safety protocols, quality control measures, and OSHA compliance.
- Work closely with superintendents, project managers, and engineers to align project goals and resolve challenges.
- Manage materials, equipment, and manpower to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Conduct site inspections, track project progress, and report updates to leadership.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Monitor and assist subcontractors to ensure work meets contractual and quality requirements.
- Maintain scheduling, inspections, and coordination of project milestones.
- Identify and troubleshoot construction challenges, implementing effective solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous industrial piping foreman experience required.
- Minimum of five years of experience in industrial piping and facility construction.
- Extensive knowledge of piping installation, welding, construction methods, tools, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and piping systems in industrial projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate work crews effectively.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including project tracking software.
- Willingness to travel frequently based on project locations.
