Traveling Assistant Project Manager – Industrial MEP
Location: Nashville, TN
Primary Function:
Support and assist in managing MEP field projects, ensuring smooth execution and coordination of one large-scale project or multiple smaller projects. Provide administrative, technical, and logistical support to project managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and staffing key field positions in coordination with project leadership.
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, and documentation, ensuring adherence to project objectives and corporate guidelines.
- Act as a liaison between project managers, field teams, clients, and subcontractors to facilitate communication and coordination.
- Monitor and track construction progress, assisting the on-site superintendent in maintaining schedules and budgets.
- Identify and report potential project risks, assisting in implementing corrective measures.
- Attend project meetings, take detailed notes, and support project reporting and documentation.
- Assist in managing financial aspects of contracts, including tracking expenses, rental equipment, and invoice processing.
- Help maintain strong client relationships by ensuring timely responses and project updates.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by project managers and corporate leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 4 years of experience in MEP construction, project coordination, or field support.
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Willingness to travel based on project assignments.
