What are the responsibilities and job description for the BAS Project Coordinator position at KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing?
Keep BAS Projects Moving—and Customers in the Loop
BAS Project Coordinator | Richmond, VA | $75,000–$95,000
Keep BAS projects moving—and customers confident at every step.
Our client is looking for a strong coordinator to support multiple Building Automation Systems projects from sales turnover through closeout. You’ll be the customer’s day-to-day project contact, bringing Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Service, and Installation together to keep schedules, decisions, and next steps on track.
You don’t need to be a BAS engineer. We’re looking for someone who’s organized, communicates well, follows through, and can learn the systems and project flow. BAS project experience is a must, and experience in mechanical, HVAC, electrical, or construction projects is helpful.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinate project schedules, meetings, site access, commissioning, training, and closeout
- Keep action items, project records, purchase orders, and WIP reviews up to date
- Communicate with customers and coordinate across internal teams, vendors, and trades
- Help manage scope, change orders, and project costs, escalating concerns when needed
- Support installation readiness and follow open items through resolution
What you bring:
- Strong organization, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage several projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities
- Practical familiarity with BAS terminology and project documents—or the ability to learn
- Comfort using email, Microsoft Office, Teams, and project-tracking tools
What our client offers:
- $75,000–$95,000 salary
- 401(k) with company match
- PTO and paid holidays
- Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits
- Employee Assistance Program
- Career development and referral incentives
Our client is a full-service MEP contractor with more than 50 years of experience supporting commercial customers across construction, service, industrial refrigeration, and manufacturing.
This is a full-time, Monday–Friday role. Occasional evening or weekend work and unscheduled overtime may be required. The position involves a mix of office, customer-site, and construction-jobsite work, including occasional work at heights and in mechanical or outdoor environments.
