Under the direction of the Store Director, the Boutique Operations & Sales Advisor plays a key hybrid role in managing all aspects of the store’s operations both on the sales floor as well as at the back of house. Including prioritizing exceptional client experience while meeting and exceeding the Boutiques Sales goals. This individual will oversee all aspects of the back of house support in an efficient and organized manner. They are the expert on all Standard Operating Procedures, systems, tools, and ensuring the Boutique operates in a smooth & efficient manner. Additionally, this individual will prioritize spending time on the sales floor and engaging with clients and hitting sales targets. Ensuring the key performance indicators (KPI) are met through strategic planning with the Store Director.
Key Responsibilities
Lead business development and Sales by creating and developing relationships through all client interactions:
- Support the development of excellent client relationships by creating and celebrating memorable moments for our clients and boutique visitors
- Confidently incorporate storytelling and technical details through hospitable interactions with clients when presenting products.
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and seasonal individual and store sales goals, enhancing and developing the business.
- Partner with Store Director to develop effective client strategies to ensure the development of genuine client relationships resulting in increased business opportunities
- Strategize with Store Director to develop networking opportunities for the boutique team
- Turn clients over to another member of the team as required to best serve the client’s needs.
- Educate clients on product features, history and knowledge.
- Analyze business performance using various reports to propose action plans that drive target achievement
- Enforce operational procedures and protocols as required by corporate team
- Maintain thorough understanding of all policies, procedures and processes. Ensure team adherence to company retail operating and security procedures
- Lead all operational processes in partnership with corporate Operations team including shipping and receiving, inventory, management, aftersales to minimize stock loss and increase customer service
Operations:
- Manage optimal levels of inventories and model stock in coordination with Store Director
- Perform open & closing procedures and ensure the boutique is “floor ready” in terms of dress code and act as brand ambassador to all audiences
- Shipping & receiving all merchandise while maintaining a tidy back of house
- Support brand image by ensuring all displays & visuals meet visual merchandising guidelines
- Perform cycle and inventory counts as required by corporate team
- Reduce the risk of damage and ensure accurate stock counts with no losses
- Partner with service team in corporate & brands to receive stock in a timely manner
- Provide the highest levels of customer service to support the growth of sales
- Maintaining Visual Merchandising standards provided by the brands & Kodak, ensuring the Boutique is always client ready, furniture, presentation items & visuals are all best condition
- Adhere to and supervise compliance of established policies and procedures, including safe keeping of company funds and property, personnel practices, security, sales and record keeping procedures as well as overall store maintenance
- Ensure the Kodak security guidelines are enforced and respected
- Problem solve and develop strategies that support the Boutique’s service, efficiency and productivity
- Support Store Director in controlling operating expenses: monitoring, analysis and action plan recommendations to optimize controllable expenses
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is preferred
- Preferred to have 2 to 3 years of experience in luxury retail or hospitality
- Fine jewelry experience is a plus
- Excellent understanding of the luxury client experience
- Ability to multitask in a high paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills are required
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evenings
- Additional language skills are a plus
Technical Skills / Abilities:
- Must be available to work retail hours (including weekends), travel for training, client events, etc. as needed
- Previous experience with SAP is preferred
- Must be able to stand on feet all day
