This role requires frequent travel to customer locations to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, and ensure optimal system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and start up equipment at customer facilities.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical issues.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Conduct equipment inspections and provide customers with service recommendations.
- Document service activities, repairs, and parts usage through service reports.
- Train customers on proper equipment operation and routine maintenance procedures.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company and customer safety requirements.
- Coordinate with technical support, engineering, and parts departments to resolve complex issues.
- High school diploma or GED; technical degree or vocational training preferred.
- 3 years of experience in field service, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial equipment repair.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including:
- AC/DC circuits
- Motors and drives
- Sensors and controls
- Electrical testing equipment (multimeters, clamp meters, etc.)
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, including:
- Transport rollers, timing belts, DC motors, bearings
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel up to [50-75%] as required.
- Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Technology.
- OSHA training or other safety certifications.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple service calls and projects.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend
- Ability to work extended hours and occasional weekends as required.
