The Automotive Detailer is responsible for preparing pre-owned vehicles for display and delivery. This role ensures all vehicles are clean, polished, and presented to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and clean vehicle exteriors, including windows and doorjambs
- Apply wax and polish to vehicle surfaces, buffing as needed
- Vacuum interiors and clean upholstery, carpets, and interior surfaces using appropriate products
- Inspect vehicles for defects such as dents, scratches, or interior damage and report findings to management
- Dress tires and remove protective films or shipping materials
- Maintain showroom and lot vehicles in clean, ready-to-display condition
- Remove window stickers from sold vehicles and take photos for online listings
- Keep the detail shop organized, clean, and ensure all dealership tools and equipment are accounted for
- Provide exceptional customer service and uphold company standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Good judgment and time management skills
