Key Responsibilities:
Technical Assistance:
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on process development, troubleshooting, and implementation.
CAD & Design Support:
- Utilize CAD software to create, update, and maintain engineering drawings and models.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of CAD files with established standards.
Documentation & Data Management:
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, SOPs, ECNs, and BOMs.
- Ensure version control and proper archiving of all technical documents.
- Manage document databases and digital filing systems for accessibility and compliance.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for engineering and management teams.
- Support audits and compliance efforts by maintaining accurate documentation.
- Assist in creating and updating training materials for production staff.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, documentation standards, and quality systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Creo; experience with CAM programming is a plus.
- Familiarity with CNC programming, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAM software tools.
- Experience with robotics programming, vision inspection systems, PLC programming (including ladder logic), and industrial automation equipment.
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis combined with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- CAD certification (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, M1, Oracle).
- Familiarity with quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of CNC machining fundamentals.
- Experience with digital document management platforms (e.g., SharePoint, PLM systems).
