Automotive Accounting-AP/AR Clerk
To support the Finance Department in their daily operations by posting all payable/receivable invoices in a timely manner for our Mazda/VW dealership. Ability to reconcile daily, weekly and monthly. Knowledge or experience in Automotive account a PLUS!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Process customer invoices, post payments, and reconcile daily receipts
Prepare, verify, and enter vendor invoices; schedule and process payments
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
Monitor aging accounts receivable; contact customers for past-due balances
Maintain accurate general ledger entries and assist month-end close
Prepare account reconciliations and support audits as needed
Provide excellent internal and external customer service; answer billing inquiries
Maintain organized electronic and paper filing for financial records
Qualifications:
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
3 years bookkeeping or AR/AP experience (dealership or automotive finance a plus)
Proficient with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, dealership DMS Tekion) and MS Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and problem-solving skills
High school diploma; associate degree or accounting coursework preferred
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and take direction
Basic computer skills and experience with office equipment (i.e. adding machine, copier, fax machine, multiline phone system, printer, etc.)
Background in business and accounting
Professional personal appearance
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit in front of the computer for long periods of time
Ability to walk up and down stairs carrying light boxes (Files)
