Produce and repair forging dies by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Position Summary:
Produce and repair forging dies by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up CNC mills by installing tools, fixturing, setting work offsets, etc...
- Maintains specifications by observing cutting, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming CNC machines
- Utilizing overhead cranes for loading workpieces into CNC machines
- Documents actions and verifies process adherence by completing process documentation
- Maintain sanctity of the workspace through the enforcement of 5s principles
- Maintains safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations
- Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements (PM), troubleshooting minor maintenance issues, and calling for repairs
- Accomplishes departmental goals by taking ownership of the machining process
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Ability to develop and execute a detailed daily plan based on priorities given
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree in Machining or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Previous CNC experience (operation/programming)
- 3-5 years’ experience in machining or manufacturing preferred
- Ability to sit/stand/walk 12 hrs. per day
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Ability to work in hot/cold environments
