As a Line cook, you play a crucial role in preparing, cooking, and presenting food according to high standards while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Through your work, you support the culinary and service teams to help maintain the reputation for excellence our guests expect.
What you bring to the table
- Provide friendly, courteous service to every guest, maintaining a positive attitude and professional appearance at all times.
- Prepare, cook, and plate all menu items according to recipes, specifications, and guest requests.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely and efficient delivery of food to every table.
- Handle all food products safely, following proper handwashing, storage, rotation, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention procedures.
- Use kitchen tools and equipment properly, including knives, thermometers, cutting boards, and measuring tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation, completing opening, running, and closing duties efficiently,
- Assist teammates across Line, Prep, and Dish stations when needed and participate in cross-training opportunities.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with guests, team members, and managers.
- Notify management of guest concerns, low inventory, equipment issues, or any safety hazards.
- Support a safe, harassment-free workplace by adhering to personal conduct, language standards, and emergency procedures.
- Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

- Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Culinary degree or formal culinary training preferred.
- Six months to one year of experience as a Prep/Line Cook in a full-service, high-volume restaurant preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly to support a smooth and safe kitchen operation.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks, and staying organized with minimal supervision.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills, with a reliable and team-focused mindset.
- Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with team members, leaders, and other departments.
- Current food safety/health permit and alcohol awareness certification, as required by local and state regulations (must be obtained prior to the first day of employment).
- Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace and remaining in compliance with all applicable policies.
