As a Cage Cashier, you're often the last interaction our guests have before heading back to the gaming floor-or home. You're trusted to handle money with accuracy, uphold strict security measures, and deliver friendly service that reflects our Million $ Service Standards. Your role ensures both the financial integrity of the casino and the welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back.
What you bring to the table
- Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
- Experience handling cash with accuracy and confidence.
- Comfort using a 10-key adding machine or calculator.
- A professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Strong customer service skills and a team-first mindset.
- Willingness to learn different cashier locations (customer window, employee service window, and main bank).
- Reliability and trustworthiness when working with sensitive information and company assets.
- Be professional, approachable, and dependable-look neat, greet others with a smile, use names when you can, listen carefully, and take action to make others feel respected and cared for.
- Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)
What you're responsible for (and not)
- Paying slot tickets, exchanging currency denominations, redeeming checks, and balancing your cash drawer.
- Maintaining accurate cage records and reports.
- Reporting Title 31 information as required.
- Supporting other cashiers as needed.
- Demonstrating and promoting Ko-Kwel's Service Standards.
- Does not supervise or manage staff.
- Does not make policy changes or exceptions to internal controls.
- Does not have direct access to table games beyond your cashier duties.

This role requires standing for long periods, frequent walking, and the ability to use your hands for handling tools and currency. You'll occasionally sit, and may need to lift up to 40 pounds. You'll also need to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business demands.

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Minimum of one year of cash-handling experience with strong balancing skills.
- Previous experience in a casino or high-volume customer service role preferred.
- A natural ability to manage stress and make sound decisions under pressure.
- A gift for making each guest feel valued, seen, and welcomed.
- Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
- Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
