Duties
- Assist with scheduling and organizing rehearsal sessions for various performances, including theater, ballet, and musical productions
- Support instructors and performers by preparing rehearsal spaces, managing equipment, and ensuring all necessary materials are available
- Help monitor classroom management during rehearsals, maintaining discipline and focus among participants of all ages
- Facilitate communication between directors, choreographers, teachers, and students to ensure clear understanding of rehearsal plans
- Assist with documentation such as attendance records, progress notes, and production schedules
- Support the setup of costumes, props, lighting, and sound equipment to enhance rehearsal quality
- Contribute to creating a positive environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and teamwork among participants
Requirements
- Prior experience in classroom or rehearsal settings within arts education or performing arts environments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching methodologies for diverse age groups including children and adults
- Experience working with children, students with special needs, or in early childhood education is highly desirable
- Familiarity with theater production elements such as staging, choreography, or costume management is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and participants
- Passion for the arts with knowledge in areas like ballet, dancing, theater arts, or culinary arts is beneficial
- Ability to adapt quickly in a lively environment while maintaining attention to detail
