Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant role based in Knoxville, TN. The Assistant will support daily store operations, including greeting and assisting customers, processing transactions accurately at the register, and responding to basic customer inquiries. This role will help stock shelves, rotate products, maintain product displays, and ensure that coolers, coffee stations, and food areas are clean and well supplied. The Assistant will assist with routine cleaning tasks such as wiping counters, sweeping, mopping, and keeping restrooms and common areas presentable. The position may also support inventory counts, receiving deliveries, and communicating any product or equipment issues to supervisors. This role works closely with store leadership and team members to maintain a safe, efficient, and friendly environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills to engage politely, listen actively, and respond clearly to customer needs.
• Basic cash handling and point-of-sale skills, including the ability to process payments, make change accurately, and follow store procedures.
• Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and complete duties within scheduled shifts.
• Attention to detail and reliability in following instructions, maintaining cleanliness standards, and supporting store policies and procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move products as needed for stocking, cleaning, and assisting with deliveries in a retail environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on store needs.
• Previous experience in retail, grocery, convenience stores, or customer-facing roles is helpful but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and skills.
