What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Knox County Health Department?
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the general maintenance and/or minor repairs to health department buildings and grounds and to do related tasks as required.
- Responsible for janitorial duties.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, sprinkler systems, HVAC systems, and other building equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain company vehicles.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures.
- Formal training or education in related fields will substitute on a year-for-year basis.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Background check and drug screening required.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
