Become a Substitute with Knox County Head Start!
Join our team and make a difference in the lives of children and families in Knox County. Knox County Head Start will be holding a series of group information sessions for individuals interested in becoming classroom substitutes.
As a Substitute, you’ll play an important role in supporting our teaching teams—helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. Substitutes assist with classroom routines, meals, outdoor play, and learning activities. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, values flexibility, and wants to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education.
During the session, participants will:
- Complete a short paper application
- Answer a few written interview questions
- Attend a brief presentation about what it means to be a substitute at KCHS
These sessions are a great opportunity to learn about our program, meet our team, and begin the hiring process—all in one visit.
