Join our team as a General Cleaner supporting college facilities. This is a part-time, evening position with consistent hours from 5pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday. As a valued member of our cleaning staff, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and visitors. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, are detail-oriented, and enjoy contributing to a positive campus atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks in office areas and common spaces, including dusting, wiping surfaces, and maintaining overall cleanliness.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper are replenished daily.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Vacuum carpets and rugs, and mop hard surface floors to maintain a polished appearance.
- Conduct floor care and carpet cleaning during school breaks and closures as needed.
- Follow all safety and cleaning protocols to ensure a healthy environment.
- Complete additional cleaning tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is a plus, but not required.
