Position Title: Events Coordinator
Division/Department: Development
Reports To: Senior Director of Community Engagement
Status: Full time; exempt
Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Community Engagement, the responsibilities of the Community Engagement Manager include preparing the overall strategic and financial goals, action plans, and execution of all special fundraising events, community engagement, and corporate partnerships.
Essential Job Functions:
- Models Christian conduct and behavior to all constituents
- Oversee and manage fundraising and non-fundraising events
- Assist with additional program events
- Manage inventory of decorations
- Manage events calendar
- Prepare both gross and net financial goals for the fundraising events with approval from management
- Confirm dates, times, and locations
- Prepare all volunteer job descriptions for events
- Keep staff, volunteers, and logistical partners aware of the event timeline and supporting each for a seamless execution of the event
Requirements:
- Commitment to Christian faith required; spiritually mature
- Commitment to KARM's mission and agreement with our statement of faith and guiding values
- Associates degree and/or equivalent experience working in a non-profit organization or event management
- Three-five years of experience in event coordination
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Publisher, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and other general office equipment.
- Willingness to agree with and abide by KARM's statement of faith.
- Must have an ability to relate to persons of all ages, backgrounds, skills and abilities
- Strong organizational skills, strong follow through and attention to detail
Working Conditions:
- Office setting at KARM maintained property
- Travel to various KARM facilities and other locations required for various purposes
- Occasional light travel to regional/area events
- Occasional required attendance at KARM special events, sometimes during weekend or evening hours
