About the Position:
Knowlton House Distillery & Restaurant is seeking a dependable, energetic, and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and takes pride in preparing high-quality food.
As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing menu items according to our recipes and standards while helping maintain an organized, clean, and efficient kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, stock, and prepare your station for service
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items using various techniques and equipment, including:
- Fryer
- Smoker
- Flat Top Grill
- Oven
- Grill
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Work efficiently while remaining calm and focused during busy service periods
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout each shift
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Support teammates and contribute to a positive kitchen culture
- Properly close kitchen stations and assist with end-of-shift cleaning and closing duties
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and contribute ideas for improvement and efficiency
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager
Qualifications:
- 1 years of kitchen prep and cooking experience preferred
- Strong understanding of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Passion for hospitality and great food
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Availability to work Thursday through Sunday
