This role requires a visionary operator with a deep understanding of education systems, who can turn strategy into execution while maintaining Knowlej's culture of innovation and impact.The Head of Operations will work directly with the CEO to manage key initiatives, streamline cross-functional workflows (Sales, Product, Client Success, and Partnerships), and ensure scalability as the company expands nationally.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Organizational LeadershipPartner with the CEO to develop and execute Knowlej's strategic growth roadmap.Oversee daily business operations, ensuring seamless coordination between departments.Develop scalable systems and processes to support nationwide school and district partnerships.Lead OKR and KPI planning, tracking, and reporting to measure company performance.Team Management & Culture BuildingSupervise and support key department leads (Sales, Client Success, Product, Partnerships).Build operational systems that reinforce Knowlej's mission-driven and culturally responsive approach.Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management frameworks as the company scales.Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across remote and in-person teams.Operational Excellence & Process ImprovementIdentify inefficiencies across business functions and design automated or AI-driven solutions.Develop workflows that enhance communication, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.Oversee financial operations in partnership with the finance team, ensuring budget alignment with strategic priorities.Implement CRM (HubSpot) and project management tools to streamline internal coordination.Education & Impact IntegrationEnsure Knowlej's operations align with school systems' needs, compliance requirements (FERPA, COPPA), and educational best practices.Collaborate with educators and administrators to align Knowlej's implementation strategies with real-world school challenges.Manage data and impact tracking for student engagement, attendance, and reward outcomes.Qualifications5 years of operational or leadership experience, preferably in education, edtech, or mission-driven organizations.Proven success scaling systems and teams in a fast-paced startup or district-level environment.Strong understanding of school operations, district culture, and education reform.Demonstrated ability to lead through data, strategy, and empathy.Proficiency with tools like HubSpot, Notion, Airtable, Asana, and automation/AI platforms.Exceptional organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Passion for education equity, innovation, and student empowerment.Compensation and BenefitsBase Salary: $100,000 $130,000 (based on experience and qualifications).Bonuses: Performance-based bonuses tied to organizational milestones and impact metrics.Benefits: Competitive package including healthcare, flexible work, and paid time off.Growth: Opportunities for professional advancement in a rapidly scaling, mission-driven company.Why Join Knowlej?Lead operations for one of the fastest-growing and most culturally relevant edtech startups in America.Partner with schools, districts, and communities nationwide to redefine engagement and student success.Work alongside a visionary founder and team dedicated to social impact and innovation.Shape the future of learning by creating systems that make education rewarding and empowering.
