Hours
- Priority on hiring instructors with in-person availability
- Typical student availability is between 8am-10pm Monday through Friday; 8am-12pm Saturday; 12 p.m. through 10 p.m. Sunday
- Priority on hiring part-time
- Full-time opportunities available.
Desired Qualities
- Specialization in 1:1 World Language, Math or STEM instruction.
- Passion for teaching and education.
- Versatile skill set and interested in learning/teaching multiple subjects.
- Able to connect with students. Can teach material in engaging ways to diverse learning styles.
- Has a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
- Has a desire to work for Knower Academics long term.
- Available for regularly-scheduled instruction.
- M.Ed. or PhD preferred.
Requirements
- Must pass a background check.
- Available to provide both in-person and remote instruction.
- Able to connect with students. Can teach material in engaging ways to diverse learning styles.
- Able to work independently. Is timely and patient.
- Clear communicator with the ability to work well and empathize with others.
- Professional demeanor and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver curriculum and lesson plans that meet student needs.
- Teach engaging, rigorous, and relevant lessons.
- Communicate in a professional, compassionate manner with all stakeholders, including students, families, teachers, and co-workers.
- Assume a high level of personal responsibility for your students and their academic progress.
