Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, adhering strictly to recipes and portion sizes.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and food processors.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Support food production for high-volume service periods while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling techniques to prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with safety regulations, including proper storage and labeling of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment through regular sanitizing procedures.
Experience
- Prior experience working in food service environments such as restaurants, catering, or fine dining establishments is highly preferred, but not required.
- Experience with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong knife skills combined with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure will set you apart in this role.
