Responsibilities
- Support servers by bussing tables, refilling beverages, and maintaining cleanliness in dining and bar areas
- Assist bartenders with preparing garnishes, restocking supplies, and cleaning bar equipment to ensure efficient service
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining a clean work environment
- Engage with guests to enhance their experience through friendly service, upselling beverages or menu items, and providing product knowledge on spirits, wines, and cocktails
- Support food preparation tasks when needed, including basic kitchen duties or assisting with plating and presentation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service delivery during busy hours and maintain a welcoming atmosphere
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant environments, or hospitality roles with a focus on guest relations
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for efficient sales processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests and team members
- Familiarity with cocktail making, spirits, wine knowledge, and food industry standards for fine dining environments
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Previous experience in bartending or serving roles preferred; culinary experience is a plus
- Strong teamwork ethic with flexibility to assist in bussing, host/hostess duties, or kitchen support as needed
