Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining district buildings to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on district facilities, equipment, and systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure buildings and grounds remain in safe working condition
- Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and general repair work as needed
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner
- Support custodial and groundskeeping operations when necessary
- Follow all district safety procedures and applicable regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior maintenance, facilities, or trade experience preferred
- Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and repair techniques
- Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must obtain necessary clearances, including PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal Background, FBI Fingerprint clearances, and Mandated Reporter Training.
