Lead Tax Analyst – Indirect Tax opening with our client. Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, the professional hired will operate independently in a fast-paced environment, partnering proactively within the tax team and numerous functional teams across the organization. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist with all aspects of property tax compliance and filings
- Assist with managing and providing data to our outside service providers to ensure timely filing of all tax compliance filings
- Assist with indirect tax diligence pertaining to new acquisitions, new construction, and early buyouts of projects
- Assist with and take a leadership role implementing a new tax engine
- Participate in discussions with a variety of teams to understand the scope of new transactions in order to provide the proper guidance from an indirect tax perspective.
- Remain informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to business transactions
- Research new sales and use tax laws and regulations
- Assist with special tax projects assigned.
- Support tax leadership in establishing and refining tax policies, processes and system workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- 4 years’ experience with indirect tax (specifically Property Tax)
- Proficiency in use of state and local tax compliance software, legal research software and suite of Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with US state and local tax compliance for large corporations.
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
