At CareTria, we are committed to delivering excellence in cold chain pharmaceutical operations. We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Cold Chain Operations Lead to support our growing team. This role is critical in ensuring product integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
Position Summary
The Cold Chain Operations Lead oversees daily operations supporting temperature-controlled product workflows. This role focuses on coordination, compliance, and execution of cold chain processes, ensuring products are handled in accordance with regulatory and quality standards.
This position does not require routine work inside refrigerated or freezer environments but supports operations involving temperature-sensitive products.

Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead day-to-day operations to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and promise-by-time commitments
- Deploy labor, equipment, and systems efficiently to meet productivity benchmarks
- Assign individual tasks to associates and monitor quality and productivity of output, making adjustments as needed
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure strict adherence to all applicable regulations, best practices, and Standard Operating Procedures (FDA, cGMP, OSHA, OWI, line clearance, inventory reconciliation, etc.)
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure all systems are updated with accurate, real-time information
- Support internal and external audits
Inventory & Accuracy
- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure accuracy of work-in-progress (WIP) and standing inventories
- Ensure all materials, inventory, and equipment are prepared in advance of deploying labor
- Verify and reconcile inventory movements and documentation
Safety & Environment
- Maintain a safe operations environment by enforcing all safety protocols and guidelines
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate operational risks
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Reporting & Resource Management
- Accurately report consumption of resources (labor, materials, inventory, equipment, postage, etc.)
- Provide timely input to status and exception reports to the Operations Supervisor for proper client notification and capacity planning
- Monitor productivity metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Training & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in all training and process improvement initiatives
- Reinforce SOP adherence and best practices across the team
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)• One year of related Lead experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge, Skills & Abilities• Warehouse operations or distribution experience• Proficiency using job-specific equipment (pallet jacks, product carts, etc.)• Basic to intermediate mathematical skills (counting, percentages, line rates, capacity calculations)• Basic to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, with focus on Excel)• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skillsWorking Conditions• Warehouse environment with standard operational conditions• No routine requirement to work inside refrigerated or freezer environments• Must be able to frequently stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift/move objects up to 35 pounds• May require occasional short-duration exposure to temperature-controlled areas (not sustained)• PPE required per company policyCompensationThe expected base pay range for this position is $20 to $22 per hour.
