The Facility Manager is the primary leader for the facility, responsible for merging high-level strategic planning with day-to-day supply chain execution. This role acts as a Culture Champion, fostering an environment of safety, diversity, and ownership while ensuring the facility meets rigorous productivity and financial goals.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve goals in production, quality, and safety while leading change management initiatives to support organizational growth.
- Oversee all facility operations, including inventory control, warehouse capacity optimization, and truck transportation loss control.
- Manage all financial aspects, including approving/tracking expenses against budgets and analyzing business reports to drive cost control.
- Partner with HR to boost employee morale; oversee the hiring, coaching, and development of both Area Managers and frontline associates.
- Ensure facility-wide compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements
- Interface with IT on systems refinement (WMS/ERP) and maintain professional relationships with customers and key suppliers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 5–7 years of related leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of WMS/ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and data visualization tools.
- Exceptional mentoring/coaching skills, strategic and tactical planning ability, and bilingual (Spanish) proficiency (preferred).
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on operational tasks or attending meetings.
- Occasionally required to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment, requiring hand and wrist motions.
Work Environment:
- Primarily an office setting with occasional visits to warehouse, production, or operational facilities.
- Fast paced and dynamic environment with frequent deadlines and evolving priorities.
- Occasional exposure to warehouses or production noise and climate conditions.
Travel Requirements:
- Moderate travel requires attending meetings, visiting operational sites, or managing vendor and stakeholder relationships 25% of the time.
Equipment Used:

- Operational management tools, software, and systems (e.g., ERP, inventory management systems).
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly oversee and manage warehouse managers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Provide leadership and guidance to department managers to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Foster a culture of mutual trust and respect, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all teams.
