Responsibilities:
General EHS Responsibilities
- Lead a positive safety culture by mentoring and interacting with employees at all levels.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, client, and company environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.
- Guide supervisors, management, and employees on regulatory and company policy expectations.
- Implement EHS policies, procedures, and routine inspection schedules.
- Maintain required EHS programs, records, and documentation.
- Review and evaluate EHS policies, programs, and procedures to ensure effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and alignment with operational needs; recommend improvements where gaps are identified.
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve EHS programs, systems, and processes to strengthen compliance and safety culture.
- Communicate safety findings, trends, and recommendations to management.
- Exercise stop-work authority when conditions present immediate risk to employees, contractors, or the environment.
- Assist with employee safety onboarding and schedule project-specific and regulatory-required training.
- Ensure the company training compliance calendar remains current and accurate.
- Support EHS compliance within the Houston fabrication shop, warehouse, and office facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections of Houston facilities to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Support implementation and maintenance of shop-specific EHS programs, procedures, and inspection schedules at the Houston location.
- Partner with Houston shop supervision and operations to integrate safety into fabrication planning and execution of work.
- Support employee safety onboarding and ensure Houston-based employee training, certifications, and compliance requirements are current.
- Provide EHS support to active field operations, construction sites, and project locations.
- Conduct job-site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Develop, review, and support Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and project-specific risk assessments.
- Support incident reporting, investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action follow-up for field and project-related incidents.
- Develop and track corrective action plans through completion.
- Monitor leading and lagging safety indicators to identify trends and proactively reduce risk across field operations.
- Coordinate and support client onboarding requirements related to EHS compliance.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, project teams, and clients to integrate safety into field planning, execution, and project delivery.

Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Associate degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, or related field OR minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- MSHA Certification.
- Experience supporting field operations, construction, fabrication, or industrial environments.

- Ability to squat, bend, and lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and work for up to 12 hours in non-climate-controlled environments.
