Heavy Fabrication/Fitter/Welder

Knight Industries is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Fabricator/Fitter to join our team.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Will be required to mock-up / fit small to large scale steel details together and final weld along with clean up, debur and prep for next process.
• Will be responsible for completing the fit and fabrication of an entire product; this is not piece work.
• Will be required to layout and drill/tap/counter sink steel plate as required by print package using medium to large radial arm drill.

Required Skills / Experience

• Ability to read blueprints.
• MIG, Gas welding capabilities
• AWS certification a plus.
• Capability to check own work against prints and meet ISO procedures.
• Knowledge of basic Shop machinery such as cut-off saws, drill presses, lathes, press brakes, oxygen/acetylene torch etc., a plus.
• Must have own tools for the trade and basic set of hand tools.
• Heavier assembly experience a plus.
• Experience reading calipers and knowledge of decibel a plus.
• Hi Low experience required.
• Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic hoses and fittings a plus.
• Knowledge of the different types of steel a plus.
• Knowledge of fasteners (Nuts/Bolts) a plus.
• An experience level of (5) five years minimum is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
