SUMMARY
The Facility Manager is responsible for maintaining day to day operations of the building and site maintenance activities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend daily site meetings with client personnel from different groups and assign work and pass down information to KnightFM staff and sub-contractors.
- Review the Site Operating Plan (tasks, frequencies, staffing, methods, material & equipment) to comply with the contract, satisfy customer expectations and ensure worker safety.
- Oversee service and material procurement, subcontracts and contract administration and payment.
- Locate vendors for FM/maintenance services, materials, equipment, and supplies and determine terms of contract for each new service/equipment requirement.
- Provide early morning or after-hours coordination, as needed
- Plan and perform basic building repairs if necessary
- On a daily basis, inspect and maintain the exterior premises of the facility
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Resolve any major complaint or problem immediately and ensure root cause corrections are implemented.
- Identify new business opportunities for projects, contract staffing, and new services.
- Participate in the development of specifications for equipment and services.
- Drive contractor improvement initiatives and KPIs
- Record keeping to comply with Document Control and Audit requirements
- Other duties as requested or assigned my management
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduate or GED
- Computers
- CMMS software is preferred, but not required
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (recent version(s) preferred, but not required)
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical components
- Strong customer service skills
- Organization and planning
- Attention to detail
- Physical ability to perform non-technical job requirements
- Communication skills (verbal, written) and to gather feedback and get clarity on miscellaneous job duties. Prompt attention to sending and responding to email messages
- While performing the functions of this job, the employee is occasionally required to lift, carry (up to 25 pounds), stoop, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, push, pull or perform other physical activities
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
