What are the responsibilities and job description for the WELDER / FABRICATOR position at Knife River - Prestress, Inc.?
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Rebuild, repair and fabricate parts for aggregate, concrete and asphalt plants following specifications
- Repair structural components on trucks and equipment following specifications
- Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
- Other duties assigned as needed
Hours: Monday through Friday, but may vary depending on scheduling and workload
The candidate must be willing to travel to other locations away from Tangent and perform projects in the field.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to cut, weld and fabricate
- Able to comprehend blueprints and specifications
- Need skills in observations, communication both verbally and written
- Will need to Obtain a CDL, and Maintain CDL; Knife River will provide CDL Training
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen
- Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members
