Job Summary:
Our restaurant/bakery is seeking an experienced Store Manager with strong leadership skills and a background in both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations. The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent guest experience, and maintaining profitability through effective management of labor, food costs, and P&L reporting. This individual will be highly present on the floor, engaging with guests and the community, while working closely with executive leadership to uphold company standards and compliance with all state and city regulations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead daily FOH and BOH operations to ensure efficiency and outstanding guest service.
- Be a visible leader on the floor, engaging directly with guests and the community.
- Train, coach, and develop staff to build strong, motivated teams.
- Manage purchase orders, vendor relationships, and third-party delivery systems.
- Ensure compliance with all state and city health, safety, and labor regulations.
- Monitor and control labor and food cost budgets.
- Perform and analyze P&L reporting to support business decisions.
- Utilize the Toast POS system for reporting, tracking, and operational management.
- Uphold company policies, standards, and values to create a positive workplace culture.
- Problem-solve operational issues promptly to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in the restaurant industry, with both FOH and BOH knowledge.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and hold teams accountable.
- Proficiency in Toast POS, Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and other software tools.
- Experience in P&L reporting and managing budgets for labor and food costs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of third-party delivery systems and vendor management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership.
- Commitment to providing excellent guest service and maintaining compliance with regulations.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods (810 hours).
- Regularly required to bend, reach, squat, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat, cold, and kitchen equipment.
- Must be able to safely navigate both FOH and BOH areas.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
