WHAT YOU GET TO DO
The primary function of the Sales Consultant is to identify right fit companies and individuals through the utilization of purpose-built sales development tools. The primary objective of the Sales Consultant is to establish a connection, build credibility and favorably position KNAPP with target companies, decision makers and influencers. The Sales Consultant is expected to remain engaged across the entire sales cycle to support the Sales Manager and to ensure needs are met. Further, the Sales Consultant is also responsible for assisting in market analysis, working with sales leadership to develop winning sales strategies, and representing KNAPP at industry specific events.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Research assigned markets to identify potential customers and opportunities
- Understand the potential customer needs by presenting and demonstrating the value of Knapp products and services
- Build beneficial relationships with target customers to create a positive experience
- Regularly engage potential customers, and track engagements within the CRM
- Understand how to navigate complex organization and long sales cycles
- Create and present opportunity briefs to leadership for engagement approval and go no go decisions
- Work collaboratively with Knapp team members and vendors to concept solutions that meet Customer’s needs
- Develop strategies in close collaboration with leadership in the US and Business Unit in Austria
- Serve as Sales Lead as new opportunities arise
- Produce cost estimates and budget proposals
- Create effective, accurate, and technically correct presentations
- Coordinate and lead “go no go” meetings to transfer projects to the identified Sales Manager
- Know and understand the entire sales process
- Maintain client relationship throughout RFP and post sales cycle
WHAT YOU HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, engineering, or advanced degree
- 3-5 years of experience in B2B outside sales and marketing
- Ability to think creatively, plan, organize, set goals, and execute strategically
- Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong relationship building, interpersonal, and internal/external networking skills
- Self-starter with hands-on approach
- Experience in production intralogistics highly preferred
- Knowledge/proficiency in Account Based Sales & Marketing highly preferred
- Familiarity with HubSpot Sales and Marketing Hub is a plus
