As a Lead Resident Maintenance Technician (Lead RMT), you will be part of a team that works to maximize equipment utilization and efficiency where you will be expected to provide industrial Electrical/Mechanical expertise and leadership/oversight. The role will assist in the development and implementation of processes to maintain proper utilization and functionality. This position will focus on the application of knowledge of; electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment. The Lead RMT will take a safety-first approach to all tasks and demonstrate a track record of owning problems through to successful completion. Flexibility is the key to success within this small, dynamic, highly efficient, and effective engineering team.

- Assist Shift Engineering Manager with leading the team to rectify software and electro-mechanical faults, resolve PLC-related issues, provide guidance and expertise, be the resident subject matter expert on shift, and provide aid to customer’s sites in assigned area
- Respond to emergency calls at customer site(s).
- Be safety conscious in all activities and will drive a culture of safety and awareness.
- Track and record all problems and see them through to a successful resolution
- In conjunction with the customer’s On-Site Operations Team, provide a first-class response to the customer, ensuring a ‘do-it-right-the-first-time” mentality and policy
- Provide emergency breakdown and specialized maintenance support
- Lead your team by providing first-class maintenance and system support to our customers.
- Manage operations and maintenance of automated storage and retrieval systems and picking systems installed at the customer’s location(s).
- The Resident Maintenance Team Lead will recover equipment and will submit work orders for all jobs completed
- Perform all duties of an Resident Maintenance Technician as needed
- Perform all of duties as assigned
- Associate degree preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation or related or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- 2 year(s) demonstrated mechanical and electrical expertise specifically with KNAPP shuttles and Streamline systems
- 5 years experience in equipment maintenance, modifications and design preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of Reliability concepts
- Experience leading a project
- Demonstrated experience in understanding of machinery systems, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) and or (English/German) preferred but not required
- Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving capabilities
- Talent and commitment to provide a unique interpretation or analysis of our systems to customers
- Process-oriented mentality
- Theoretical and operational experience in the operation of PLC-based machinery, highly automated, and robotic equipment and control systems
- Network equipment interfaces, a plus
- Experience in reducing costs through processes and efficiencies
- Weekend work will be required and shall be structured to provide forward planning.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and ability to effectively utilize computers/smart devices
- Overtime as required by work
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Occasional travel maybe required

- Physical requirements may include: sitting, squatting, walking, reaching out to arm’s length, reaching over-head, lifting between 50-100 pounds, and reading
