Position Overview: Investigate, measure, and evaluate environmental and safety conditions within all company locations across the country. Duties & Responsibilities
Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level. Must be able to work in a plant environment and be able to inspect all operations. Lifting/moving up to 50 lbs. Vision abilities (close, distant, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain safety reports, metrics and weak point analysis for associates and leadership.
- Conduct regular safety audits and environmental assessments across different sites to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential hazards (chemical, physical, ergonomic) to ensure a safe work environment.
- Lead investigations into accidents, injuries, and near-misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver EHS training programs to employees and leadership.
- 3 years of proven EHS experience
- Ability to travel extensively, 50%, and work flexible hours across different locations.
- Experience in Manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong training background
- Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a sense of urgency.
