What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Man - Paint Department position at Knapheide Truck Equipment?
Knapheide Truck Equipment Center in Quincy, IL is looking to hire an experienced full-time Lead Man for the Paint Department to direct, manage, and assist employees in the department, ensuring job standards are met. This position works Monday - Thursday from 7:30 PM - 6:00 AM; additional overtime as needed or required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist employees; providing proper tools, information, and feedback
- Conduct audit inspection on all completed units
- Update warranty log sheet
- Ensure best practices are consistently followed
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
Our ideal candidate has expert knowledge of both paint and body repair, is dependable, detail oriented, self-motivated, communicates effectively with team members, and is able to multi-task and prioritize job duties. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Ability to lift/move up to 75 pounds
- Previous paint and body repair experience, including welding and fabrication
