What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant / CPA position at KN Properties LLC?
We are a local business management/accounting office specializing in retail and hospitality. We're now hiring a full-time (in person) Accountant (30 hours/week) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile daily sales/receipts in Excel and Quickbooks
- Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
- Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, and collections
- Assist in preparation of financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
- Strong general ledger knowledge, including multiple journal entries for depreciation/assets, prepaid taxes, capital accounts, sales tax, etc.
- Organize, reconcile, report and file multiple sales tax returns.
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Some administrative work and property management duties may be required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or similar experience
- 3-5 years relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger, financial reporting
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
